notice| Notice on Holding the 3rd Zero Carbon Future Innovation Competition
In order to fully implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, deeply explore innovative ideas and concepts of low-carbon zero-carbon energy and technologies, incubate innovative key technologies and concepts, and promote the popularization of dual-carbon goals. The zero-carbon Future Innovation Competition came into being. The competition is open to students in colleges and universities at home and abroad. It aims to provide outstanding students with a broad creative platform to help them expand their academic horizons, improve their comprehensive quality, and cultivate scientific spirit.

content of the competition
Closely following the theme of the competition, the works include physical production (including models), software, design, creativity, experiments, etc., embodying new ideas, new principles, new methods and new technologies.
the rules of participation
-
Participants: The participants in this competition are postgraduate students or senior undergraduate teams from domestic and foreign universities and scientific research institutes. Teams are encouraged to participate in the competition, with no more than 4 people in each participating team and 1-2 instructors hired. Encourage the intersection of disciplines, and give priority to supporting teams of students from different majors and teams jointly guided by teachers from different majors.
-
Scope of topic selection: Focusing on in-depth and extensive interdisciplinary disciplines, focusing on the application and research and development of low-carbon and zero-carbon innovative technologies, and the R & D and application of extended industrial innovation technologies, including (but not limited to) the following aspects:
① Energy production-related technologies for emission reduction, zero emission, and negative emission;
② zero-carbon energy transportation-related technologies;
③ Emission reduction and zero-carbon energy utilization technologies;
④ Low-carbon, zero-carbon energy storage and conversion technologies;
③ Other related technologies to achieve the "double carbon" goal.
- Entry requirements:
① Participating projects must be original and innovative projects, and there must be no intellectual property disputes. Any actual infringement liability caused by intellectual property rights shall be borne by the contestants.
② All entries shall not be classified or must be de-classified. The contestants shall bear the responsibility for leaks caused by the work.
③ The project report of the entries is the final evaluation material for the competition. Design plans, digital models, animations, videos, research reports, etc. can be submitted as attachments. If the work contains physical models, video materials will be provided in the preliminary competition, and physical display or video presentation will be provided in the final.
Competition schedule and arrangement
- Project selection
The competition is divided into preliminary and final.
The preliminary competition is divided into several groups according to the direction of topic selection and the number of works. It adopts the form of online review by a jury to conduct preliminary selection of the participating projects in terms of completeness of application materials, relevance to the project field, and innovation of the project. The finals will be in the form of on-site defense and physical demonstration. In accordance with the principles of "fairness, justice and openness", members of the expert committee in the energy field will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the participating projects, score on-site competitions and award awards on-site.
