1. Introduction to the event
In recent years, with the continuous growth of global energy demand and the increasingly serious environmental problems, the development of new energy sources has become the focus of attention. At present, new energy has achieved certain development results. Renewable energy such as solar energy, wind energy, hydropower, and biomass energy are gradually being applied and promoted, becoming an important part of energy structure adjustment. China is both the world's largest photovoltaic market and the largest photovoltaic manufacturing country. With the advancement of technology and the reduction of costs, the proportion of new energy in energy supply will gradually increase.
However, the development of new energy still faces a series of challenges. The cost of new technologies is still high, and the efficiency, safety and stability of integration with industry also need to be improved. Due to the intermittent and uncontrollable nature of new energy, how to effectively store and utilize new energy also needs to be developed urgently.
This issue of the salon will focus on "new energy" and invite many guests from industry, academia and research to jointly analyze industry conditions, development trends and historical opportunities, and discuss how technology can help the development of new energy.
