The Tencent Technology Philanthropy Venture Capital Program was initiated by the Tencent Foundation and co-organized by the Social Value Investment Alliance (Shenzhen). This program encourages professional forces in society to address public welfare challenges and social issues through technological capabilities, promoting technology-based philanthropy. It aims to enhance operational models and efficiency with the power of technology and innovation in philanthropy, and to create a new, sustainable public welfare ecosystem across society by supporting the replication and expansion of outstanding initiatives. The second phase of the venture capital program covers seven areas: rural revitalization, assistance for the elderly and those in need, emergency disaster relief, ecological protection, cultural preservation, youth development, and volunteer services.
