###Competition Background
China Postgraduate Energy Equipment Innovation Design Competition (referred to as the "Competition") is one of the theme competitions of the "China Postgraduate Innovation Practice Series Competition" and was initiated and established by China University of Petroleum (East China) in 2014. The competition is based on the concept of "competition to cultivate talents, talents lead innovation, and innovation-driven development" to create a postgraduate innovation exchange and practice platform around the technological innovation of energy equipment, and create a cooperation innovation platform for government, industry, research and research. Meet the needs of high-level talents in the national equipment manufacturing industry and promote the innovative development of the national energy equipment industry.

###Competition System Questions
The competition is divided into two stages: preliminary and final. The preliminaries adopt online review format, and the finals adopt on-site defense, physical demonstration, 3D model display and other forms.
The topics of this competition are mainly new energy equipment, mainly including the following aspects:
Efficient development and utilization equipment of marine energy; green and efficient development equipment of oil and gas; new energy preparation equipment; renewable energy equipment; other energy equipment; enterprise proposition (see the official website for specific information).
###Collection of works
The entries can include physical products, prototype models, control system software works, three-dimensional models, working principle displays, etc. The requirements are as follows:
(1) The work must be original, meet the requirements of the competition title, be clever in conception, and have reasonable design;
(2) Confidential works and works with intellectual property disputes are not allowed to participate in the competition;
(3) Works that are improved and innovative based on previous works should be marked with innovations;
(4) Entries that have won awards in a certain theme event of the "China Postgraduate Innovation and Practice Series Competition" cannot be used to participate in awards in other theme events with the same work.
##Registration
###Competitors
Officially registered master's degree students, doctoral students (including recent graduates) at home and abroad, as well as undergraduate graduates and full-time students who have obtained postgraduate admission qualifications.
###Competition method
Based on schools, individuals or teams participate in the competition. Generally, there are no more than 5 participating members for each team (the first applicant is the captain of the participating team), and there are generally no more than 2 guiding teachers. Cross-school teams are allowed. After entering the national finals, participating events and team members are not allowed to be changed.
###Submission of works
Preliminary stage: Submit the work report through the competition's official website, and support materials such as design drawings, digital models, and animation videos can be submitted as attachments.
Final stage: Submit the work introduction board, defense PPT, presentation video, etc. through the competition's official website.

###Award settings
The competition will set first, second and third prizes, as well as awards such as excellent instructors and excellent organizational units.
First prize: About 10% of the final works will be awarded an award certificate and bonus. In addition, each group will select outstanding works for a second defense, award honorary titles to the first three championship and runner-up teams, and award honorary certificates and bonuses.
Second prize: About 20% of the final works will be awarded an award certificate and bonus.
Third prize: About 70% of the final works will be awarded an award certificate.
Honorary certificates will be awarded to outstanding instructors and outstanding organizational units.
