“Carbon Neutrality and Energy System Transformation” Forum
The “Carbon Neutrality and Energy System Transformation” Forum will be held in Wuhan, China from September 23 to 24, 2023. This conference is jointly organized by Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Engineering’s journal Engineering, Frontiers of Engineering Management also published by the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the China Engineering Science magazine. Academician Ding Lieyun serves as the conference chair. The aim of this forum is to bring together renowned academicians and experts in this field, leading talents from state-owned energy enterprises, and officials in charge of innovation policies, to discuss in depth the top-level strategies for China’s carbon neutrality transition, mechanisms to ensure energy security, and the scientific design of related innovation policies. The conference includes plenary sessions as well as sub-forums on “Low-Carbon Transportation Systems and Climate-Resilient Risk Control”, “Pathways to Carbon Neutrality and Energy Security”, “Collaborative Innovation among Industry, Academia, and Government for Carbon Neutrality”, and the journals Engineering and FEM published by the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Notable scholars such as Academician Qiu Baoxing, former vice minister of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Academician Hu Wenrui, an expert in oil and gas exploration, Academician Liu He, a professor at the China National Petroleum Exploration and Development Research Institute, and Chief Engineer Wang Weisheng from the China Electric Power Research Institute have been invited to attend. Many national leaders and representatives from science and technology management departments will also participate in discussing the latest research findings. We look forward to your participation.
