EDF Pulse is an innovative brand aimed at more actively capturing the global trends in science and technology innovation, thereby fostering a collaborative innovation ecosystem both domestically and internationally. In 2021, EDF Pulse launched an innovation competition in China under the theme of “Creating the Future.” This year, it has been relaunched as a joint innovation program. Selected tech startup teams will have the opportunity to engage in one-on-one exchanges with EDF’s expert team during the acceleration phase to jointly develop digital, low-carbon innovation solutions with scalable potential. More than twenty senior experts from the energy and power industry will be invited to participate in this “Creating the Future” program to conduct in-depth discussions and exchanges with startup teams. The one-on-one collaborative sessions during the acceleration phase will cover all aspects of innovation—from concept development to scaling up—addressing market trends, technical guidance, commercialization, and integrated innovation. Under this “Create the Future” initiative, EDF Group will collaborate with startup teams possessing digital low-carbon technologies to develop proof-of-concept solutions that are based on real customer needs, highly feasible, and easily replicable. The winning teams selected during the pitch day will work together with experts from EDF China’s R&D center and relevant business departments to transform these POC solutions into tangible outcomes. They will also have the opportunity to expand their market reach both domestically and internationally within the EDF Pulse global innovation ecosystem.
