Green, low-carbon and sustainable development are new missions entrusted to the construction of chemical parks and the development of the petrochemical industry by the new era and new requirements. Building a number of sustainable chemical parks is an important content and guarantee for the high-quality development of the petrochemical industry.
To this end, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and Danzhou City People's Government (Yangpu Economic Development Zone Management Committee) will jointly organize and convene the "2023 China Chemical Park Sustainable Development Conference." This conference will focus on discussions on the green and low-carbon development of chemical parks and the construction of petrochemical industry clusters in the Pan-Greater Bay Area, and assist relevant national ministries and commissions in promoting and typical experiences in the "Directory of Green Chemical Parks" and "Catalog of Applicable Technologies for Green Chemical Parks". Danzhou-Yangpu Economic Development Zone is the pioneer demonstration zone of Hainan Free Trade Port. It is a regional hub port of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor planned by the country's major strategic plan and the intersection with the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. It has the best natural deep-water port in Hainan Province, and its market covers the "three markets" with a population of more than 1 billion in South China, central and western regions and Southeast Asia. 40 domestic and foreign trade routes and 1 intercontinental route have been opened. It is an important node in the "Belt and Road" initiative to undertake the interconnection of the Maritime Silk Road and the Land Silk Road.
The leading industries are six major industries: new petrochemical materials, intelligent manufacturing, port and shipping logistics, trade finance, offshore wind power, and health food. At present, Yangpu has formed a refining and aromatics industry chain led by 9.2 million tons of refining and 1.6 million tons of aromatics, an olefin industry chain led by a million-ton ethylene project, and supporting industries such as crude oil, refined oil, LNG reserves and port logistics. Develop in a coordinated manner; its oil and gas reserve capacity exceeds 10 million cubic meters, making it the country's current second largest commercial oil reserve base. The "integration of industry, storage and trade" pattern in Yangpu's energy and chemical industry field has been established. Relying on a good industrial foundation, Yangpu has built a new petrochemical materials industrial park, an offshore wind power industrial park, and an international health food port. At the same time, it has built the country's first industry-education integration base for independent education. It has cooperated with Bielefeld, Germany. The University of Applied Science and Technology cooperates with the practical embedded teaching jointly between schools and enterprises to inject energy into the park, actively introduces international advanced manufacturing companies, and builds a high-end equipment manufacturing base and a new generation information technology industry base. Automotive application technology R & D and parts manufacturing base, and other productive integrated service systems; Yangpu New Materials Industrial Park is an extension of the industrial chain and the development of new chemical materials relying on well-equipped public works and complete and sufficient supply of raw materials for the industrial chain. The new plan enables Yangpu Economic Development Zone to form a complete industrial chain integrating upstream, middle and downstream, oil storage, oil refining, olefins, aromatic hydrocarbons, new chemical materials and fine chemicals.
