The 2nd China Postgraduate Student "Double Carbon" Innovation and Creativity Competition
Contest Introduction
The "Double Carbon" Innovation and Creativity Competition for China Postgraduate Students is based on the concept of "Creativity enlightens wisdom, innovation-drives development" and focuses on the theme of "Smart Double Carbon, Create and Enjoy the Future" to stimulate graduate students 'awareness of innovation, improve graduate students' innovation and practical capabilities, and serve the country, society and Enterprises are established for the purpose of cultivating innovative talents. In 2022, the Shenzhen International Graduate School of Tsinghua University will host the first China Postgraduate Student "Double Carbon" Innovation and Creativity Competition (hereinafter referred to as the "Competition").
In March 2021, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized at the ninth meeting of the Central Financial and Economic Committee that achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality is an extensive and profound economic and social systemic change. Carbon peaking and carbon neutrality must be integrated into the overall layout of ecological civilization construction and achieve the goals of carbon peak before 2030 and carbon neutrality before 2060 as scheduled. Under the "double carbon" goal, achieving efficient and green development has become an urgent social issue, and scientific and technological innovation plays a fundamental strategic supporting role in the construction of ecological civilization and promoting the realization of the double carbon goal.
In this context, in order to further enhance graduate students 'understanding of the "double carbon" strategic concept, enhance graduate students' awareness of serving major national strategies, mobilize graduate students 'enthusiasm to participate in the construction of double carbon, and improve the cultivation of carbon peak, carbon neutrality and related professional talents. Quality, increase the in-depth integration of industry, academia and research between universities and society, so that the results of scientific research projects and teams can be transformed and incubated, and help achieve the "3060 double carbon" goal.
The 2023 Second China Postgraduate "Double Carbon" Innovation and Creativity Competition will be hosted by Northeast Forestry University.
Competition schedule
1. Competition notice released
Time: June 7
Content: The official website of the competition will announce detailed information such as the entry method, registration instructions, work requirements, and award setting for this competition.
2. Contest registration time
Time: June 7-August 24
Content: Participating teams will register on the competition official website at this time and accept the qualification review.
3. Submission time
Time: June 7-August 24
Each participating team will submit entries online in accordance with the competition requirements before the deadline, and the organizer is responsible for the statistics and contact work of the entry collection system.
4. Preliminary review and promotion results released
Time: September 15-17
Content: The preliminary competition will be conducted through online selection. Contestants submit entries through official channels of the competition. The review experts will conduct online review of all successfully submitted entries based on the rationality, creativity, and standardization of written expression of the topic innovation and implementation, and finally select them according to the comprehensive score ranking. Winning works will be promoted to the semi-finals. In late September 2023, the competition will announce the list of teams entering the semi-finals.
5. Rematch review and promotion results released
Time: October 14-15
Content: The semi-finals will be conducted in the form of a combination of online roadshows (if due to the epidemic, it can be adjusted to online) and offline review. Contestants will conduct a project roadshow, and review experts will conduct offline review of the entries based on the rationality, creativity, and standardization of written expression of the topic day innovation and implementation. Finally, the winning entries will be selected according to the comprehensive score ranking and promoted to the national finals. In late October 2023, the competition will announce the list of finalists.
6. Final review Time: October 28-29
Content: The finals will adopt a combination of offline roadshows and answering services (specific arrangements will be made according to the situation). The national finals will be held at Northeast Forestry University (adjusted according to epidemic prevention and control). In the finals, each participating team can conduct systematic demonstrations on site, including but not limited to using PPT to explain the plan, accepting and answering questions from experts. Experts will score the entries from the perspectives of their originality, application prospects and presentation effects, and finally determine the winning position based on the comprehensive score of the entries.
