##PART.2 Participants
Government departments, research institutions, commercial institutions, enterprises, non-profit organizations, scientific research institutes, etc. of APEC economies can all participate in this competition as application units.
##PART.3 Participation Plan
The scope of projects submitted by the applicant may involve solutions, products, hardware/software development, technical systems, services, buildings, parks, communities and policy implementation.
Projects that have been implemented, implemented or are in the implementation stage are encouraged to submit. If the project is still in the theoretical, design or unapplied stage, please indicate.
##PART.4 Areas covered
INPUT2 will require 21 APEC member economies to submit case-based solutions on how to ultimately apply smart, environmentally friendly and people-centered concepts to people's real lives through public urban systems, encouraging technological innovation-driven urban transformation.
In the post-epidemic era, how to promote economic development in the Asia-Pacific by revitalizing tourism and promoting trade and consumption; developing public transportation services; revitalizing the environment and developing green science and technology; and reimagining urban life and improving quality of life.
We expect all parties to submit unique solutions and scenario application cases that have the possibility of replication and promotion, and are conducive to promoting regional technical exchanges and trade cooperation. The Secretariat provides advice in the following areas:



##PART.5 Award Setting
This competition will set up the "APEC Science, Technology and Innovation Award (APSTI)", which mainly recognizes the advanced technologies and application scenarios of APEC economies in promoting sustainable urban development, as well as the contributions made by cases to promoting trade and cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.
This year's APSTI will select one gold medal and one silver medal in three categories: green economy, sustainable transportation, and livable cities. The gold and silver awards enjoy APEC bonus support.
In addition, APSTI will also set up additional: 5 Best Practice Awards and 5 Most Innovative Awards; 1 Best Inclusion Award to promote gender equality, inclusiveness and women's empowerment, as well as children's groups; and 1 Start-up Award to encourage the sustainable development capabilities and business development capabilities of start-ups; 12 shortlisted awards.
##PART.6 Outcome Document
All works that have won the APEC Science, Technology and Innovation Awards (APSTI) will be included in the "APEC Blue Book on Sustainable Development of Cities" and will be included in the outcome document together with the chapter on representative cities of economies in this competition, and will be used as a competition publication by the APEC Secretariat.
