"Quick decision in plastic war-Solicitation order for plastic circular economy solutions"

According to statistics, the world produces more than 400 million tons of plastic every year, and about half of it is only used for one-time purposes.

Of this part, less than 10% is recycled. Large amounts of plastic end up in lakes, rivers and oceans, and even in subtle forms (tiny plastic particles within 5 millimeters in diameter) into our food, water and air.

From the perspective of the material itself, plastics, like other materials such as steel and nonferrous metals, are highly recyclable and recyclable. While restricting the use of single-use plastics, how to provide practical and effective solutions, efficiently recycle and dispose of waste plastics and prevent waste plastics from leaking into the environment is the core essence of solving plastic pollution problems at present.

Through years of hard work, my country has actively taken measures to increase the recycling of waste plastics and gradually built a waste plastics recycling system covering the entire society. With the gradual deepening of society's understanding of plastic pollution and the rapid advancement of "waste-free cities" in various places, solutions have become increasingly abundant.

The United Nations Environment Program has set the theme of this year's June 5th World Environment Day event as: Quick decision in plastic warfare, and once again calls on the world to attach great importance to plastic pollution control. As a responsible country in the global control of plastic pollution, what effective plastic pollution control practices does my country have that can provide reference for global plastic pollution control?

With the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Global Environment Facility Small Grants Program, China Environmental APP Industry and Economics Channel, in conjunction with the Joint Working Group on the Green Recycling Plastics Supply Chain (GRPG) and the Carbon LIVE platform, officially launched the "China Environmental APP and TanLIVE platform, and issued a solicitation announcement to the whole society through China Environmental APP and the Carbon LIVE platform to explore innovative, scientific, effective and reference advanced cases of waste plastic recycling nationwide, summarizing, Promote effective experience and measures in various places and focus on solving difficult and hot issues in plastic pollution control.
