Second Chinese Soil Science Society Academic Forum on Carbon Neutrality and Global Change (First Round Notice)## Conference IntroductionTo implement the country’s “dual carbon” strategic goals and fully leverage the role of soil ecosystems in carbon sequestration and emission reduction to address climate change, it is planned to hold the “Second Chinese Soil Science Society Academic Forum on Carbon Neutrality and Global Change” in Nanjing under the auspices of the Chinese Soil Science Society’s Working Group on Carbon Neutrality and Global Change. The forum aims to enhance the carbon sink function of terrestrial ecosystems, promote green and low-carbon agricultural development, ensure national ecological security, and advance ecological civilization construction. Organized by the Working Group, the School of Geography and Ocean Sciences at Nanjing University, the College of Resources and Environmental Sciences at Nanjing Agricultural University, and the Key Laboratory of Green and Low-Carbon Agriculture along the Southeast Coast of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, it is co-hosted by the Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Low-Carbon Agriculture and Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction, the Eighth Evaluation Group for Agricultural Resources and Environment of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, and the Jiangsu Platform for Experimental Facilities on Soil Carbon Neutrality and Climate Change Response. With the theme of “Soil Carbon Neutrality and Responses to Global Change,” the forum will discuss cutting-edge topics in agricultural resources and environment, global change ecology, as well as key issues such as strategies for ecosystem carbon sequestration and emission reduction, coordinated pollution control and carbon reduction, measurement and modeling of carbon and nitrogen greenhouse gases, sustainable ecosystem development, and ecological civilization construction. It seeks to strengthen academic exchanges among peers, improve collaborative research, and jointly advance comprehensive green transformation of the economy and society toward achieving the “dual carbon” goals.

Registration and Fees for AttendeesThe conference registration fee mainly covers conference costs, meals, and materials; accommodation and transportation expenses are to be borne by the attendees themselves.
Notes on Payment of Registration FeesDue to the large number of attendees, it is recommended to pay the conference registration fee by bank transfer (invoices can be obtained upon on-site registration). If bank transfer is not possible, payment can also be made on-site at registration (invoices may need to be sent after the conference).
