All relevant units: The transition to clean and low-carbon energy is of great strategic significance to resolving environmental pollution and the global climate change crisis. At present, energy production, transportation, storage and consumption methods are undergoing profound changes. Developing modern energy systems such as new energy, new energy storage and new energy vehicles has become the consensus of the international community. It is related to national energy security, green and low-carbon development and strategic international scientific and technological frontiers and industrial heights for emerging industries to become bigger and stronger. Central South University has set up the first batch of undergraduate majors in "New Energy Materials and Devices" and "New Energy Science and Engineering" in the country. It is the first to set up a first-level interdisciplinary doctoral program in "New Energy and Energy Storage Engineering", and has been approved to build "National Energy Metals Key Laboratory of Resources and New Materials". In order to promote the high-quality coordinated development of disciplines, talents, technology and industries in the fields of new energy and energy storage engineering, the "First Xiangjiang International Forum on New Energy and Energy Storage Engineering and 2023 China (Changsha) Battery Industry Expo" co-sponsored by Central South University, the New Energy Materials Development Working Committee of China Nonferrous Metals Society, the Electric Energy Technology Professional Committee of China Energy Research Association, and the Hunan Province Battery Industry Association. It will be held in Changsha, Hunan from November 3 to 5, 2023. With the theme of "Subject Talent Support, Integrated Development of Industry and Research, and Low-Carbon Transformation of Energy", this conference will set up 9 professional forums and battery industry exhibition areas.
