3rd Offshore Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage Forum

Dear participants: The 3rd Offshore Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) Forum will be held in Xiamen, Fujian from November 12 to 15, 2023. The forum aims to discuss the strategic positioning of offshore CCUS and its role in promoting coordinated development of the blue economy, as well as new approaches in basic scientific discoveries and engineering technologies. It also focuses on improving industrial technology applications to reduce costs and expand scale, as well as advancing industry integration and technological innovation. This event provides a high-level platform for information exchange across industries, academia, research, finance, and services related to offshore CCUS, enabling participants from domestic and international research institutions, enterprises, and researchers to share achievements and experiences, explore challenges and opportunities in offshore CCUS development, and enhance China’s capabilities in ocean carbon sequestration and coordinated development of land, sea resources, ecology, industry, and spatial planning. 9. Engineering Design and Technical Integration of Offshore CCUS Systems Call for special topic reports is now open. Experts and scholars are welcome to apply as organizers for forum sessions. Multiple scholars can jointly apply as organizers and are responsible for organizing session presentations and exchanges. Those who wish to apply as session organizers should fill out the application form (see Attachment 1) and submit the title of their presentation along with relevant details. These will be reviewed by the forum’s academic committee, and the approved session information will be released at the beginning of August. Call for abstracts of presentationsThe submission deadline for report abstracts is scheduled to open in August. Specific requirements for submitting abstracts will be released at the beginning of August.

Forum Registration Fee

Note: Students must present their student ID card during registration, as postdoctoral researchers no longer hold student status. The registration fee covers attendance costs, material fees, and meal expenses, all arranged uniformly by the forum. Accommodation and transportation should be arranged by participants themselves at their own expense.

Invoice Issuance1. All attendees (including conference representatives, accompanying staff, and presenters) should carefully fill in the invoice information in the personal registration form. No replacement invoices will be issued if the information is incorrect.

2. Invoices for attendees will be issued uniformly after the forum concludes. Once issued, they will be sent to the email address you provided. Please check your emails carefully. Attendees are advised to download the PDF version of the invoice promptly.

1. To ensure participants have access to the forum materials and proper accommodation, on-site registration and payment are not available. Please complete the payment by October 31.
2. If you decide to cancel your participation after paying the registration fee, please contact the organizing committee before October 31 to inquire about a refund.
