##Four major themes help manage uncertainty
1."International Chapter": Empowering the Future
"New momentum for the global economy" and "Building a resilient supply chain ecosystem for the petrochemical industry" Currently, the global economy is entering a new pattern, the competition situation is becoming increasingly fierce, and the macro environment is unpredictable. In this new normal full of uncertainty, how should we respond, seize and make good use of the new momentum of global economic development? Looking forward to 2023, downstream customers such as EU companies will continue to promote carbon reduction in the supply chain, forcing export companies from various countries, including my country, to accelerate the pace of green transformation. Under the guidance of the "Fit for 55" climate package, the EU will unswervingly advance the decarbonization process and continue to deepen measures. The implementation of CBAM (Border Adjustment Mechanism) will have a significant impact on the petrochemical industry. Against the background of increasing uncertainty, it is necessary to build a resilient supply chain for the petrochemical industry and transform it into the core competitiveness of the petrochemical industry. What is the far-reaching significance of "new momentum for the global economy" to the survival and development of the petrochemical industry? How to transform from the traditional economic model to adapt to the requirements of the emerging economic landscape.
What impact has the evolution of the global economic landscape had on market competition in the petrochemical industry? How should petrochemical companies respond to market changes, find new development opportunities and business models, and achieve sustainable growth?
How can building a resilient supply chain ecosystem promote innovation and collaboration in the petrochemical industry? In the supply chain, how can petrochemical companies cooperate with participants in all links to achieve resource sharing, smooth information, and promote technological innovation and coordinated business development?
(2)"Innovation Chapter": Innovation Integration
"Future Energy" and "Low-Carbon Technology" The future development of energy and low-carbon technologies has become the consensus of the whole society and industry to deal with climate change. Countries focus on "reducing emissions" and "increasing foreign exchange", and are committed to building a zero-carbon energy system, promoting the transformation of low-carbon industries, and R & D and innovation in ecological carbon sequestration and carbon capture to accelerate the realization of the carbon reduction process.
Looking forward to 2023, my country has key advantages in green energy industry chains such as wind and solar energy storage and new energy vehicles, and is expected to promote breakthroughs in a series of low-carbon technologies. These progressive R & D innovations will provide strong support for countries, industries and enterprises to accelerate and deepen green transformation.
How will future energy and low-carbon technologies change the energy structure and production methods of the petrochemical industry? What is the far-reaching impact on the survival and development of petrochemical enterprises?
Against the background of energy transformation, how can the petrochemical industry respond to increasingly stringent carbon emission restrictions and environmental regulatory requirements? What a key role does low-carbon technology play in this process?
What is the importance of low-carbon technological innovation to the competitiveness and international status of the petrochemical industry? How to improve product quality, reduce production costs and open up new markets through technological innovation.
(3)"Green Development Chapter": Sustainable and Common Prosperity
"Sustainable development" and "circular economy" Sustainable development and circular economy have become important indicators for companies to measure development, including six reasons: compliance requirements, customer needs, driving growth, attracting talents, improving reputation and shareholder needs. As industries with high energy consumption, petrochemical companies have taken action one after another and actively formulated carbon reduction strategies and action plans. The chemical industry is one of the largest industrial energy consuming industries and relies mainly on fossil fuels for raw materials, posing a challenge to achieving the goal of decarbonization. To this end, the industry needs to reduce fuel and process emissions on a large scale by reducing emissions by itself and assisting other industries to reduce emissions. Various countries and regions have implemented different policies and regulatory mechanisms to force the green and low-carbon transformation of the chemical industry, such as the European Green New Deal, the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act and the carbon emissions trading system. Major players in the chemical industry and the World Economic Forum have reached an agreement on the use of LCET. The United Nations Plastic Pollution Agreement establishes binding bills to eliminate plastic pollution across the entire life cycle of plastics and is scheduled to be implemented before 2024.
What is the far-reaching significance of sustainable development for the survival and development of the petrochemical industry? How to integrate the concept of sustainable development into corporate strategies to achieve common prosperity of economy, society and environment.
What is the role and significance of circular economy in the petrochemical industry? How to promote the transformation of the petrochemical industry into a circular economy model by recycling resources, reducing waste and reducing carbon emissions.
Globally, sustainable development and circular economy have become important issues. How can the petrochemical industry enhance its influence and competitiveness in the field of global sustainable development by participating in international cooperation and learning from best practices?
(4)"Regional Cooperation": Seeking Together for the Future
"Regional Economic Integration" and "Sustainable Development Path of the Green Belt and Road Initiative"
Uncertainty in the current macro environment is intensifying, the global economic prosperity is not optimistic, and the international trade environment is facing challenges. However, countries along the Belt and Road Initiative are playing an increasingly resilient role in supporting domestic exports. These countries have become new drivers of my country's export growth, and the proportion of emerging economies such as ASEAN, Russia, and Africa in my country's export share has increased year by year.
From the perspective of industrial structure, mid-to-high-end manufacturing industries represented by new energy have broad overseas development space, especially in some emerging fields. The petrochemical industry adopts a clustered and park-based development model, establishes industrial chain clusters and new regional economic and trade cooperation zones, such as China-Japan-South Korea Regional Cooperation, ASEAN Countries Regional Cooperation and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), etc., and builds key areas. Strategic emerging industrial chain clusters with highly concentrated and efficient supply chains to reduce global supply chain risks and enhance international competitiveness
How does "regional economic integration" bring new development opportunities and markets to the petrochemical industry? What is its role in promoting optimal allocation of inter-regional resources, technological innovation and coordinated industrial development?
What impact does the Green Belt and Road Initiative have on global market expansion and international cooperation in the petrochemical industry? How does it change the international competitive landscape of the petrochemical industry? How should the petrochemical industry actively participate in and adapt to this development trend?
How can regional economic integration and the sustainable development path of the Green Belt and Road Initiative promote the coordinated development of the petrochemical industry and other related industries? How to achieve resource sharing, information circulation and technological innovation to promote the sustainable development of the petrochemical industry.
