1. Activity background

As the "Implementation of Urban Renewal Action" was first written into my country's five-year plan, the importance of urban renewal has reached an unprecedented level during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period and for some time to come, and relevant policies have also entered a period of intensive introduction. The implementation of urban renewal actions has received great attention and widespread attention from the central government, local governments and the whole society. It is a major decision and deployment to further improve the quality of urban development and an important task in the second half of my country's urbanization. In addition, improving the quality of environmental space and promoting sustainable development are not only the purposes of the development and implementation of urban renewal projects, but also an important part of the rural revitalization strategy.

We hope that through this design exhibition with the theme of "Urban Renewal, Reproduction of Vitality", we can see that designers in the field of urban planning and architectural design use digital technology and green and low-carbon design strategies to help urban and rural areas become more dynamic and more livable., more distinctive. In this context, under the guidance of China Architectural Culture Research Association and sponsored by the Smart City Human Settlement Environment Professional Committee of China Architectural Culture Research Association, Beijing Zhishang Yuhua Science and Trade Co., Ltd. hosted the 2023 3rd Smart City Original Design Exhibition and Smart City Construction Industry Expo.

4. Solicitation objects

This year's exhibitors are divided into [student group] and [professional group].

[Student Group] includes students and teachers in architecture, landscape, landscape architecture, environmental art, digital media, public art, urban planning and design, environmental science and engineering and other related majors in colleges and universities.

Student group exhibitors can jointly register as individuals or form a cross-professional team. The maximum number of team members registered is 3 main creators and 5 members (no more than 8 main creators + members).

[Professional Group] includes design institutes, planning institutes, research institutions, design institutions, developers and other staff and enterprises in related disciplines.

Professional groups can register in the name of units or individuals, and register in the name of units. In principle, the project team has a maximum of 5 creators and a maximum of 8 members (no more than 10 creators + members).

5. Category of works

** Smart New City Category: **

Urban public space, urban cultural theme, green space system, religious philosophical theme, life theme, natural ecological theme, conceptual and creative theme, soil remediation, sewage treatment, river management, mine restoration, landfill, etc.

** Smart cultural tourism category: **

All-region tourism, national parks, beautiful countryside, rural revitalization, ecological restoration, pastoral complexes, characteristic towns, tourist resorts, B & Bs, scenic trails and campsites, health care tourism, etc.

** Smart landscape category: **

Park design, municipal landscape, three-dimensional greening, green space system, real estate landscape, hotel environment, park landscape, etc.

6. Design requirements

Exhibitors must closely follow the theme content, choose real space as the creative theme, propose design countermeasures with intelligent and low-carbon recycling concepts, and carry out them on the basis of in-depth life, and propose creative design plans that are in line with local realities and retain the characteristics of urban development.

Exhibitors can choose their own design addresses, independently formulate design tasks and subtopics, and the works should be designed based on the real urban and rural space as the creative theme. Design works can be on topics such as architecture, landscape, urban planning, urban streets, open spaces, transportation, municipal administration, beautiful countryside, etc., with no restrictions on scale or techniques, and are created freely. Advocate the design concepts of intelligence, digital technology, low-carbon, environmental protection, and environmental friendliness, stimulate urban vitality, create a beautiful living environment, and establish a harmonious coexistence and coordinated development relationship between man and nature.

Exhibitors are encouraged to start from around them, design on the basis of in-depth life, and propose creative design plans that are in line with local realities, integrate traditional culture, and retain the characteristics of urban development. Promote high-quality urban development with "urban renewal", empower green smart cities with technology, and create a beautiful living environment and pleasant spaces with people at the core.
