First general rule: Technological innovation, talents come first. Tencent's Rhinoceros Elite Talent Program was first released in 2017. It aims to select students with enthusiasm and potential for scientific research, help them explore and move forward on the road of scientific research, and work with universities to cultivate a group of people who are brave in seeking truth and exploring and support independent innovation in science and technology. The backbone. Under the joint training of both school and enterprise tutors, the selected students will use real industrial scenarios and massive data as scientific experimental fields, combine theoretical research with practice, verify academic theories, and publish high-level papers.

Article 2 Application conditions: This project is open to undergraduate students (juniors and above), master's and doctoral students in universities at home and abroad, including freshmen entering 2023, and at least one of the following conditions is met:

·Publish papers as first author (or mentor as first author and oneself as second author) in top journals or conferences (CCF-A, B, or equivalent);

·Participate as a backbone in large-scale scientific research projects at the provincial level and above in laboratories or instructors;

·Received national academic awards, student competition awards, or student awards from academic organizations such as IEEE, ACM, China Electronics Society, CCF.

Students who meet the following conditions will be given priority to enter the selection process:

·Participated in Tencent scientific research cooperation projects, such as CCF-Tencent Rhinoceros Bird Fund, Rhinoceros Bird Special Project and Joint Laboratory Project;

·Participated in daily activities as a core member of Tencent University Innovation Club, Star Tuiguan and other clubs;

·Received the Tencent Rhinoceros Bird Research Camp certificate or Tencent related competition awards, such as Tencent Advertising Algorithm Competition, Tencent Rhinoceros Bird Open Source Talent Training Program, etc.

·The project will be released on December 20, 2022 and the application will begin;

·The application deadline will be February 1, 2023, and the review will be initiated;

·The review deadline in mid-to-early April 2023, and the results will be released;

·Students will be recruited from May 2023 and will be jointly trained;

·Conclude the defense in July 2024 and evaluate the scholarship.

Article 4 Training model: This project adopts a joint training mechanism, and students selected for the plan will be jointly trained by their school tutors and corporate tutors. After being selected, the two tutors discussed together to determine the key scientific research directions and goals during the joint training period (see Annex 1 for the relevant topic directions and introduction of Tencent tutors). Selected students will conduct paid study visits at Tencent for more than 6 months to get into contact with real industry issues, expand scientific research ideas, verify academic theories, jointly publish papers, apply for patents, etc. At the same time, the project team will customize courses such as communication skills and innovative thinking, and hold online and offline communication activities to improve students 'overall quality and help them grow into top R & D talents.

During the joint training process, selected elite students will also receive the following resources:

·Online access to the "Very Elite Circle" to obtain relevant information and resources such as real R & D content and scientific research cooperation demands in the Internet industry ("Very Elite Circle" is an online real-name social platform for elite students. For details, see Annex 4);

·Access to the guidance of Tencent's rhinoceros bird academic experts at home and abroad;

·Opportunities to participate in industry forums, academic conferences, training activities and elite research camps;

·The opportunity to receive subsidies during visiting Tencent, participate in annual scholarship defense and receive scientific research awards;

·Priority interview opportunities for job recommendation.

Article 5 Training period: The project training period is one year, and the time selected elite students visit Tencent is generally 6~For 12 months, it will be discussed and determined by the school tutor and the company tutor. After the scientific research visit, students still enjoy access rights in the elite circle, registration for internal activities and content acquisition rights during the training cycle. In principle, students are not allowed to withdraw from the project during the training process. If they have to withdraw due to their own reasons, students must submit an application, which will be confirmed by the tutors of both parties and filed by the project team.

Article 6 Organization and management: The elite talent plan has an advisory committee, an expert group, a mentor group and a project management group. The advisory committee and expert group are composed of academic institutions and Tencent R & D experts, who are responsible for controlling and optimizing project quality, selecting elite students, etc.; the mentor group is composed of tutors of selected students and experts from Tencent's R & D team, who are responsible for guiding students 'academic research work; The project management team is composed of Tencent's university cooperation and human resources teams, and is responsible for the construction and operation of projects and elite circles, and the organization of daily activities.
