Competition background
As an important industry event that supports the development of high-end green innovation in chemistry and chemical industry, promotes innovation cooperation and exchanges in the international chemical field, and brings together global innovation resources and outstanding talents, the four-year "SCIP+" Green Chemical and Chemical Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has achieved fruitful results. On June 27, 2023, the fifth "SCIP+" Competition was officially launched in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone as scheduled.
Adhering to the development concept of "innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing," this competition is jointly sponsored by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, China Chemical Industry Society, Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone and East China University of Science and Technology. Competition proposition
With the theme of "Green·Shaping the Future", a total of 3 main propositions and a number of designated propositions have been set in this competition
Main proposition 1: Future materials
In the chemical industry, low-carbon raw material substitutions, biomass-based materials, synthetic biomaterials, biomedical materials, biodegradable materials, high-end membrane materials, high-performance engineering plastics, functional polymer materials, composite materials, 3D printing materials, electronic chemicals and its supporting materials and other green new materials. R & D, promotion and application.
Main proposition 2: Future energy
Research and development and application of clean energy such as hydrogen energy, solar energy, wind energy, biomass energy, ocean energy, and geothermal energy, as well as disruptive processes and technologies such as efficient energy storage (focusing on diversified power conversion, new energy chemical energy storage, etc.).
Main proposition 3: Future carbon cycle
Energy-saving transformation and intelligent management of energy and energy-using systems, application and optimization of new equipment, new processes and production processes, electrification, new energy/resource reuse of carbon-containing waste from various industrial, agricultural and domestic sources, Capture, storage and reuse of carbon dioxide.

Participants and requirements
The competition sets up an entrepreneurial innovation group and an entrepreneurial practice group:
Entrepreneurial Innovation Group Participants
Undergraduate and postgraduate students in institutions of higher learning and scientific research institutes, undergraduate and postgraduate graduates in full-time non-adult education, young university teachers, and young enterprise scientific and technological workers.
Applicant Must be the project leader
The participants have the theme of "Green·Shaping the Future", have innovative scientific research results, form innovative product upgrade suggestions or market development suggestions, and have complete project proposals that can transform results.
Entrepreneurial Practice Group Participants
Domestic and foreign start-ups and teams of registered companies should have basic product, technology or service prototypes, have their own intellectual property rights, and seek commercial scale.
Applicant Must be the founder, legal representative or technical leader of the company and team.
