##Competition Introduction
The TERA-Award Smart Energy Innovation Competition has the mission of "empowering green economic development" and its goal is to find excellent innovative technologies and solutions in the field of smart energy for the future. The competition is committed to creating a global entrepreneurial service platform that integrates application scenarios, bonuses, and investment, helping the implementation of entrepreneurial projects, and promoting the rapid implementation of smart energy innovative technologies.

##Scope of competition
**1. Renewable energy **:

Solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, biomass energy (e.g., non-food biobased materials)

**2. Energy storage and conversion **:

Electrochemistry, mechanical energy (e.g. flywheel, pumped storage, solid gravity, etc.), heat (e.g. air energy heat pump), energy conversion

**3. Carbon neutrality **:

Carbon capture, carbon utilization, carbon sequestration, methane emission control

**4. Hydrogen energy **:

Hydrogen production, hydrogen transportation and storage, hydrogen energy application, hydrogen production to green fuels

**5. Energy digitalization **:

Energy Internet, virtual power plants, A.I. energy management

**6. Green Smart City **:

Green smart kitchens, home energy management, green city plans (e.g. transportation infrastructure, green buildings, waste management, air quality management)

##Participation rights
**1. Big prize **

The top three in the finals will receive: US1 million, US100,000, and US$50,000 respectively.

**2. Strategic investment **
Outstanding projects in the competition will have the opportunity to receive strategic investment from Hong Kong and China Gas.

**3. Landing scene **

Hong Kong and China Gas and its subsidiary Hong Kong and China Smart Energy will provide implementation scenarios for outstanding projects in the competition, empowering the implementation and rapid iteration of innovative technologies and products of the project.

**4. Industry acceleration **

Projects participating in the competition will have the opportunity to participate in the TERA-Award 0-1 acceleration camp, which will provide face-to-face communication opportunities for field experts, well-known mentors, and investors to help the project grow.
