Since its successful launch in 2019, the "SCIP+" Green Chemical and Chemical Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has gradually become one of the most influential innovation and entrepreneurship events in the global industry. The 2021 "SCIP+" competition received a total of 195 teams from around the world, of which 17 teams came from 8 countries including the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Brazil, India and Vietnam. The 2022 "SCIP+" Competition was officially launched on June 29 in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone. It was co-sponsored by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, China Chemical Society, Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone and East China University of Science and Technology. Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Shanghai Huayi (Group) Company, Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Shanghai Investment Promotion Service Center, Shanghai City Foreign Investment Promotion Center, Suez Asia, Co-organized by Tongcheng Charity Foundation, French Commerce and Investment Agency, Anglo American Resources Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Brightlands Chemelot Campus, and Impact Hub Shanghai.
