The “SCIP+” Green Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Innovation Competition has grown into one of the most influential innovation competitions in the global industry since its successful launch in 2019. For the 2021 edition, the competition received entries from 195 teams worldwide, including 17 teams from 8 countries such as the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Brazil, India, and Vietnam. The 2022 “SCIP+” competition was officially launched on June 29 in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park. It is co-hosted by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, the Chinese Chemical Society, the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, and East China University of Science and Technology, with support from Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Shanghai Huayi (Group) Company, Sinopec Shanghai Gaqiao Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Shanghai Investment Promotion Service Center, Shanghai Foreign Investment Promotion Center, Suez Asia, Tongcheng Public Welfare Foundation, French Business Investment Agency, Anglo American Resources Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Brightlands Chemelot Campus, and Impact Hub Shanghai.
