###I. Competition purpose Discover and cultivate young innovative and entrepreneurial talents in the field of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and contribute young wisdom to the cause of carbon peak and carbon neutrality in China.

Sponsors: China Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Foundation, China Petroleum Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, China Offshore Oil Corporation, China University of Petroleum (Beijing).

A national organizing committee was established for the competition to coordinate the overall planning and organization and implementation of the competition. There is a secretariat under which it is responsible for daily work. The secretariat is located at China University of Petroleum (Beijing).

A review committee was established in the competition to be responsible for the review of participating projects. The review committee is composed of heads of relevant departments of the organizer, experts in the field of carbon neutrality, entrepreneurs, famous figures in the field of venture capital, entrepreneurial mentors, etc.

IV. Work field

The entries cover major categories such as energy conservation and emission reduction, clean utilization of traditional fossil energy, new energy development and comprehensive utilization, carbon asset management, environmental protection and sustainable development.

v. schedule system

(1) Schedule

  1. official registration Time: February to late March
  2. sectionals Participating projects that pass the qualification review will be reviewed and defended by each regional competition organizer. After each competition area has gone through the regional preliminary competition (letter review) and the regional semi-finals (on-site defense), the innovation group, the entrepreneurship group and the academic group will each decide to advance to the national preliminary competition according to their results. Generally, the top 10% of the number of registrations in each competition area can advance. Time: late March to late April 2026
  3. nationals After passing the preliminary evaluation of the national competition, the top 20 projects in each group of innovation group, entrepreneurship group, and academic group will advance to the national finals. The national finals will be reviewed on-site using the "road show + defense" method. Time: Late May 2026

(2) Participating groups The competition is divided into innovation group, entrepreneurship group and academic group.

  1. innovation Group Competitions for companies that have not yet registered before January 1, 2026. All innovative carbon-neutral technology projects or business model innovation projects can participate in the competition, and the participating materials are technology or business model innovation solutions.
  2. entrepreneurship group Entries for companies registered before January 1, 2026. Focus on a certain product and service of the company, elaborate on the market prospects, social benefits, etc., and submit materials for the competition are business plans for the entrepreneurial project.
  3. academic group Including two major categories: natural sciences and social sciences, all academic research results related to carbon neutrality, carbon emission reduction and carbon management can participate in the competition.

vi. Registration

The competition openly solicits outstanding entrepreneurial projects from society and universities, and determines the shortlisted qualifications after review by the review committee. Registration time Official registration will be held from February to late March 2026, regional competitions will be held from late March to late April, and national competitions will be held in late May. (4) Competition conditions

  1. participants (1) China citizens aged 18 to 45 (inclusive)(date of birth from January 1, 1981 to January 1, 2008, subject to the registration time of ID card). (2) Practitioners in carbon neutrality related industries, individuals or groups who intend to start a business in the field of carbon neutrality can sign up for the competition. (3) For participating events declared in the name of a team, the total number of people in the team shall not exceed 10, and the number of people in the team shall be under the age of 35 (inclusive)(date of birth after January 1, 1991, subject to the registration time of ID card) shall not be less than 50%. (4) College instructors cannot be included among the participants in the innovation group and academic group.
  2. instructor Each participating team may not have more than 5 instructors at most, or there may be no instructors.
  3. participating projects (1) Comply with national laws and regulations and national industrial policies. (2) Do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. (3) It has good economic and social benefits, has standardized operations, and has a good social reputation. (4) Master unique products, technologies or business models with greater investment value.

VII. reward

(1) Regional awards Each group will issue gold, silver and bronze medals according to a certain proportion of the number of regional semi-competition events. Award certificates will be issued by the National Organizing Committee for the award-winning projects. (2) National awards The events that advance to the preliminary competition of the national competition are sorted according to the scoring results. The top 20 players in each group advance to the national finals, and 2 special prizes and 18 gold medals will be selected. Award certificates will be issued by the National Organizing Committee for the award-winning projects. The awards for each group that advance to the national finals will be determined according to the scoring results. The top 2 scoring projects will receive special prizes, and the rest will receive gold medals. The award-winning projects will be issued with award certificates and corresponding bonuses by the National Organizing Committee, including a special prize of 20,000 yuan and a gold prize of 5,000 yuan.
