With the transformation of the global energy structure and the proposal of sustainable development goals, governments of various countries have proposed the goals of reducing carbon emissions and developing renewable energy. New energy and energy storage technologies, as key links connecting renewable energy and power systems, are increasingly attracting attention and attention. In January this year, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration issued the "Notice on Deepening the Market-oriented Reform of New Energy On-grid Tariffs and Promoting the High-quality Development of New Energy", marking the advent of the marketization of new energy on-grid tariffs and the end of the era of "compulsory allocation and storage"., various new variables indicate that the optimal allocation and collaborative optimization technology of new energy and energy storage will be more targeted and promising. In order to vigorously stimulate the innovation enthusiasm of scientific researchers in the field of new energy and energy storage, actively explore, encourage and cultivate innovative talents, and promote the coordinated development of "new energy + energy storage", the Society held the "Second New Energy and Energy Storage Collaborative Development Innovation Competition (2025)". It now collects innovative works from experts and scholars in relevant fields. The shortlisted works will be awarded certificates by the China Society of Electrical Engineering, and scientific research funds will be provided by supporting units. We sincerely welcome domestic and foreign researchers in the field of energy science and technology to sign up.

  1. Competition theme

With the theme of "Source Storage Network, Creating a Shared Future", choose one of the following four directions:

  1. Active support control and fault traversal;

  2. Collaborative control of source and reservoir depth;

  3. Optimal configuration and coordinated control of tracking/construction networks;

  4. Empirical and experimental techniques.

  1. Participants

Students, teachers, scientific researchers, and engineering technicians from domestic and foreign universities, scientific research institutes, enterprises and institutions who are no more than 40 years old (female scientific researchers can relax the age of 45, subject to the registration deadline of May 30, 2025). Technical personnel can participate. Participation in the competition as individuals is encouraged, or you can form teams (no more than 3 people) to sign up.

  1. Work requirements

The theme of this event focuses on the key technological breakthroughs of grid-type energy storage and grid-type new energy in new power systems with system coordination and multi-energy complementation. Entries must pay attention to the following requirements:

  1. Specific application scenarios and key parameters need to be introduced, and innovative model systems, optimization configuration plans, operation/control strategies or algorithms need to be proposed;

  2. The proposed plan, strategy or algorithm does not require perfection. The key is originality and foreseeable practicality, and participants can give a brief explanation;

  3. Suggestions are divided into "introduction of application scenarios, key parameters, design ideas, model construction, operation/configuration plans and control strategies (or algorithms), specific performance and simulation (or experimental) verification results, economics, innovation, and practicality analysis, expected application and benefits, references, appendices (if any)" and other parts are written, and the contestants make appropriate adjustments based on the characteristics of the work;

  9. Contestants need to log in to the official website of China Society of Electrical Engineering before May 30, 2025, enter the registration link for this competition in the notice announcement, and submit summary information of the work to complete the registration for the competition.

  10. Contestants need to log their entries on the official website of China Society of Electrical Engineering in the required format before July 18, 2025, enter the submission link for this competition in the notice announcement, and submit the final entries.

  11. Registration for this competition will be conducted through the official website of the Society. 。
