The 2023 "Government Work Report" briefly outlines eight work priorities for this year, including promoting green transformation of development methods. We will further promote the prevention and control of environmental pollution, strengthen the construction of urban and rural environmental infrastructure, and continue to implement major projects to protect and restore important ecosystems. Promote clean and efficient utilization of coal and technology research and development, and accelerate the construction of a new energy system. Improve policies to support green development, develop a circular economy, promote resource conservation and intensive utilization, promote energy conservation and carbon reduction in key areas, and continue to fight the battle to defend blue skies, clear waters, and pure land. Promoting the green transformation of development methods is a key link in achieving high-quality development. Following the path of China-style modernization, we need to coordinate the promotion of high-quality economic development and high-level protection of the ecological environment, so as to promote the green transformation of development methods and form a strong driving force for high-quality development. How to coordinate the promotion of carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion, and growth, and promote the green and low-carbon transformation of development methods? These questions are not only important questions that China's environmental economics community urgently needs to answer, but also the responsibilities of the times that scholars must shoulder. China Environmental Economics Forum was established in 2021 to provide a high-end exchange platform for experts and scholars in the field of environmental economics and contribute the wisdom of China academic circles to my country's high-quality economic development. With the support of Management World Magazine, the third China Environmental Economics Forum is scheduled to be held in Beijing on December 16, 2023. This forum is hosted by Capital University of Economics and Business and hosted by the School of Economics of Capital University of Commerce. The theme of this forum is "Promoting Green Transformation of Development Methods". We are now open to soliciting essays from scholars at home and abroad, and scholars are welcome to actively submit contributions!

2. Application requirements

Forum papers must be original works by the author that have not yet been published, and Chinese and English papers can be submitted. Please refer to the submission style of Managing the World for Chinese papers, and refer to the submission style of American Economic Review for English papers. In order to facilitate anonymous review and contact, please ensure that the author information (name, work unit, corresponding author, contact phone number, e-mail address, etc.) is complete and correct and listed on the front page that has nothing to do with the text.

3. Submission method

Please send the electronic version of the essay request (Microsoft Word format) to the email environment before November 19, 2023_forum@cueb.edu.cn。Please indicate "China Environmental Economics Forum (Name of First Author + Unit)" with the subject of the email, and please mark the file name of the electronic version of the essay solicitation as "Main Title of the essay + Name of the First Author"(Failure to mark this will affect the essay review).

4. Essay Review

The forum will set up a paper review committee to form multiple paper review expert groups based on research themes. Each expert group is composed of scholars active in cutting-edge research in relevant disciplines to ensure fair opportunities for essay solicitation. The paper review committee is responsible for the selection of papers participating in the conference. The authors of the selected papers will receive the paper selection notice and invitation letters to participate in the conference before December 3, 2023.

5. Other related matters

There is no conference fee for this forum. The selected paper authors will pay their own transportation and accommodation expenses. Working meals during the forum will be provided free of charge by the organizer.
