The 2024 China International Clean Energy Expo (English: Clean Energy Expo China, abbreviated as “CEEC2024”), hereinafter referred to as the “Expo”, is scheduled to be held from March 26 to 28, 2024, at the China International Exhibition Center (Chaoyang Hall) in Beijing. The Expo is led by the China Electricity Council and State Energy Group, and is jointly organized by units such as the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, China National Machinery and Electronic Products Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, China Overseas Industry Development Association, China Hydrogen Energy Alliance, and the Construction Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. It is undertaken by the Power Industry Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Beijing Tagger Exhibition Co., Ltd.
1. CEEC2024: An Integrated Exhibition Platform for the New Power System Ecosystem
With the theme of “Clean Energy Driving the Development of a New Power System”, CEEC2024 will showcase technologies and equipment in photovoltaics, wind energy, hydrogen energy, energy storage, power transmission and distribution, and digital energy. The exhibits will cover the entire ecosystem of the new power system, including new energy generation, storage, transmission, transformation, distribution, and utilization. It has received strong support from central state-owned enterprises in the energy and power sectors, international energy organizations, multinational companies, as well as manufacturers of photovoltaic, energy storage, and hydrogen energy devices. It is expected that over 600 companies will display more than 1,000 new technologies, products, and application scenarios at the Expo, covering an exhibition area of 50,000 square meters. During CEEC2024, over 10 high-level thematic conferences will also be held, including the China Clean Power Summit, New Energy International Cooperation Forum, China Photovoltaic Market Development Forum, China Wind Power Conference, China Energy Storage Conference, China New Power Transmission and Distribution System Construction Conference, and the International Hydrogen Energy Industry Innovation and Development Forum. These events bring together top experts to analyze new industry trends, interpret updated regulations, explore emerging hot topics, foster international cooperation, and create a diverse platform for industry exchanges.
II. The World Looks to China for Clean Energy; China Looks to CEEC for Clean EnergyUnder the “dual carbon” goals, clean energy is regarded as a key solution to address the climate crisis and a green engine for economic recovery. As a major producer of clean energy and investor in green technologies, China leverages its structural advantages to increasingly become a leading force in global clean energy transformation, driving global clean energy governance toward greater fairness, rationality, inclusivity, and efficiency. With the targets of achieving carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060, China is poised to become a leader in the international green energy system and a guardian of global sustainable energy security.
The world looks to China for clean energy, while China looks to CEEC for clean energy. After 15 years of continuous development, the China International Clean Energy Expo has witnessed the rapid growth of China’s clean energy sector amid the global shift toward cleaner energy. CEEC has evolved from a regional exhibition in China’s clean energy industry into a world-class platform that continuously promotes display, exchange, and cooperation in the country’s power and clean energy sectors. As a leading professional exhibition in the clean energy industry both at home and abroad, CEEC is committed to shaping a new global landscape for the clean energy sector. With an open and inclusive approach, it actively promotes innovation in various clean energy technologies, attracts domestic and international cooperation resources, and provides a solid platform for exchanges and collaboration between Chinese and foreign enterprises to further strengthen international cooperation. Currently, CEEC 2024 is in the intensive preparation phase. According to the organizing committee, over 300 companies have confirmed their participation, 5 national delegations have been established, and 29 state-owned energy enterprises, local state-owned firms, large private groups, research institutions, and international organizations have scheduled visits, participation, and equipment procurement activities. The China International Clean Energy Expo aligns with the trends in energy development by bringing together resources from the entire industrial chain. It creates an integrated exhibition platform for the new power system ecosystem, driving progress in the global clean energy industry.
