The first "New Green Cup" Information and Communication Industry Empowering Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutralization Innovation Competition (hereinafter referred to as the "Competition") was officially launched at the opening forum of the 2023 China Institute of Information and Technology ICT In-depth Observation Report Conference. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the competition was hosted by China Information and Communication Research Institute and co-organized by the Carbon Peak Carbon Neutralization Development Center of China Information and Communication Research Institute and China Post International Exhibition Advertising Co., Ltd. With the theme of "Empowering Thousands of Industries to Create a Green Future", the competition collects green and low-carbon technologies and application practices in the industry, typical application scenarios and advanced development models for digital empowerment, energy conservation and carbon reduction, aiming to further encourage green and low-carbon technology innovation in the information and communication industry, and expand the industry's empowerment of the whole society to provide energy conservation and carbon reduction products.
The competition sets up a total of seven events in the two directions of the information and communication industry to empower energy conservation and carbon reduction in vertical fields and its own energy conservation and carbon reduction
** The information and communication industry empowers vertical areas of energy conservation and carbon reduction including three competitions: **
(1)Competition 1: Digital technology empowers green and low-carbon transformation of the industry. Model innovation and application practice for digital technology to empower low-carbon transformation in key industries.
(2)Event 2: Digital technology empowers residents to live a low-carbon and environmentally friendly life. Aiming at various application practices of digital technology to help residents achieve green life.
(3)Event 3: Digital technology empowers green and smart development in urban and rural areas. Aiming at the application practice of digital technology to help urban and rural green smart development.
** The information and communication industry's own energy conservation and carbon reduction direction includes four events: **
(4)Event 4: Green data center. Green and low-carbon solutions and application practices in the data center field.
(5)Competition 5: Innovative application of green energy in the information and communication industry. It is aimed at innovative solutions for enterprises in the process of green power consumption and technological innovative applications in the process of green energy promotion.
(6)Event 6: Co-construction and sharing of communication infrastructure. Facing communication infrastructure co-construction and sharing cases and advanced application models.
(7)Event 7: Green supply chain in information and communication industry. Solutions for industrial chain supply chain collaborative manufacturing and green procurement demonstrations.
