Program details

Like many urban centers around the world, China's cities face sustainable development challenges. The United Nations WIPO GREEN China Cities Acceleration Project addresses this problem by connecting China cities with green and innovative technologies. The project was launched in 2021 by the WIPO Sustainable Technology Exchange (WIPO GREEN) and the Innovation Blue Clean Air Alliance (BCAA), and with the support of the Beijing City Intellectual Property Office, the first pilot city was launched in Beijing. After two years of operation, the Beijing pilot has made many important progress.

The theme of World Intellectual Property Day 2024 is "Intellectual Property and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Building a Shared Future Based on Innovation and Creation." The Innovation Blue Alliance cooperates with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to jointly carry out an accelerated intellectual property strategy camp for China's green technology small and medium-sized enterprises. Organize nearly 100 green technology companies to carry out IP strategy training activities, and plan to select 20 companies to carry out five-month in-depth counseling to support companies in establishing systematic IP strategies and accelerating enterprise development.

Key activities of China's green technology IPMC project

Large-scale training: A large-scale training event will be organized on May 10 with 100 business representatives as the launch event of the accelerated camp.

Centralized training (group): About 2 centralized training sessions will be organized to provide systematic training and communication opportunities for participating green technology companies.

Field visit (group): It is planned to organize participating companies in the project to conduct about 2 field visits and learning (inspection objects such as Huawei, BOE, etc.) to help these green technology companies have the opportunity to explore excellent cases of intellectual property management in the real world.

One-on-one coaching: One-on-one coaching will be provided to all participants for approximately 5 months. Through counseling, we will answer the main intellectual property issues encountered by companies in daily operations and management, and tailor intellectual property strategies for each participating company.

Distance self-learning module: A list of online learning courses from the World Intellectual Property Organization will be provided to all participating companies to support them in independent learning and increase their awareness of intellectual property.
