Notice on Soliciting Innovative Technical Solutions and Typical Cases for Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality (First Batch in 2023)

To all relevant entities: To implement the new goals and tasks for carbon peak and carbon neutrality set by the Central Committee of the Communist Party, accelerate the establishment of a new development paradigm, advance carbon peak and carbon neutrality efforts in a steady and proactive manner, develop green and low-carbon industries in a planned and step-by-step fashion, promote a comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development, and solidly carry out all related work toward carbon peak and carbon neutrality as well as foster technological innovation in this area, the China Environmental Protection Federation is now seeking submissions from relevant organizations across society for “innovative technical solutions and typical cases for carbon peak and carbon neutrality”. The relevant details are as follows: I. Scope of Solicitation Submissions are welcome from enterprises, institutions, research institutes, and consulting firms in the energy sector both domestically and internationally that are engaged in low-carbon, zero-carbon, or negative-carbon technology innovation. The focus is on areas such as cleaner use of energy, new energy sources, energy storage, low-carbon industrial process redesign, comprehensive utilization of solid waste, energy efficiency in green buildings, and ecological carbon sequestration. By identifying exemplary cases and innovative achievements in green and low-carbon development, these submissions aim to serve as a model for others. (2) China Energy Conservation Association Innovation Award: Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Scientific Achievement Award (Carbon Neutrality Category). (1) Applicants must abide by laws and regulations, have stable financial and operational conditions over the past three years, and have no record of violations. (2) The submitted cases must involve technologies or products with independent intellectual property rights, demonstrating advanced, innovative, leading, typical, and exemplary qualities, as well as being replicable and scalable. (3) The cases must comply with national policies and regulations related to energy conservation, environmental protection, occupational health, and safe production. They must already be in operation within the enterprise and have produced significant economic and social benefits. III. Submission Deadline Submission period: From now until August 15, 2023; IV. Relevant Notes (I) This submission campaign adheres to the principles of “objectivity, fairness, and science.” The federation will establish an expert review committee to ensure the authority and professionalism of the campaign; (II) The materials submitted by applicants must be true and accurate. Any falsification will result in disqualification from participation. The review committee will verify all submitted materials uniformly or organize relevant personnel to conduct investigations and verifications at the applicant’s location; (III) The federation retains ultimate interpretive authority for this submission campaign.
